| Culturally, architecturally and environmentally rich, Andalucia has something for everyone and we have renovated our house to provide you with all the comforts of home while maintaining the flavor of the home of flamenco and sherry.
Estepa is a town of around 11,000 people in the geographical centre of Andalucia. It’s about an hour’s drive from Málaga, Córdoba and Sevilla, and just a little bit further from Granada. (Málaga, Sevilla and Granada all have international airports.) Estepa is mainly famous for the Christmas biscuits and sweets – mantecados and polvorones – that are made in the village, but has a fascinating history going back to pre-Roman times. It also produces fabulous olive oil.
With beaches and classical Spain all within easy reach, there is simply loads to occupy you – unless you just want to chill on the roof terrace with its terrific views over the village and the olive groves beyond.
If wine is your thing, try the world-famous sherry bodegas in Jerez, tapas of course is a way of life here, perhaps you want to lay on the beaches by the warm Mediterranean sea, walk in the cool mountains and watch the eagles at play? Whatever your preference, its all within easy reach of Estepa – the Heart of Andalucia.
Three bedrooms, two doubles and one single, upstairs. Downstairs there’s a sitting room, large hall, salon, kitchen/dining room, bathroom and laundry room with second WC, plus a couple of extra storage rooms.
Outside there’s a sizeable patio and a roof terrace with fabulous views over the village, the olive groves and to the mountains beyond.
The house has been renovated to a high standard retaining as much of the 100 years old original building as possible – but all-new plumbing! The house is equipped with all the modern amenities you may want, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washing machine, spin dryer, iron and ironing board. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels.
The lounge has a TV with DVD player, there is an iPod dock and another radio/cd music system, and for those cooler winter nights, a log burning stove. |
